WHAT THEY ARE PRESENTING
Dance Movement & Mindfulness
In-Person Session
In this session, self-care via movement and mindfulness will be explored. Dance from the Afro-Latinx and Afro-Caribbean diaspora (salsa, bachata, reggaeton, Hip Hop, and more) will be the vehicle to release by connecting to the rhythm, sweating it out, and noticing the power of movement and stillness. The dance portion of the session will be followed by an exercise that will encourage noticing without judgment through a guided body scan. There is a powerful connection between dance, mindfulness, and healing.
